The June Lake Loop boasts a wealth of

Rush Creek enters the lake, around the small
islands at the south end, and along the
southeast shoreline.
Beyond paddling and superb fishing, Silver
Lake provides a myriad of family-friendly
recreational activities. Stand-up
paddleboarding is a popular option, suitable
for all ages and skill levels—a fun and
adventurous way to spend the day on the
water.
Several trailheads in the area provide
access to the Ansel Adams Wilderness,
Yosemite, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the
renowned John Muir Trail, which spans over
200 miles of remote, pristine Sierra Nevada
wilderness.
On sunny days, Silver Lake's crystal-clear,
